The storytelling sessions I create are vibrant, exciting and often participatory- always full of energy! They are produced specifically for your venue and to your exacting standards.

Costumed..or not. With handling items..or not. You choose the theme and I'll get people inspired!

I can be hired for a single session, day and season events and for almost any occasion. I can create curriculum linked role-play sessions and bring books and literacy to life!

You may well have seen me strolling throughout Derbyshire in one of my guises..Tess of the Woods, Time Traveller Tess, Witch Willoughby..or even Witch Demdike!! And I would love to come and visit you too!

I write site and theme specific storytelling sessions perfect for families and children of all ages! The performances are always lively and encourage active participation from the audience. (Thanks so much to the hundreds of grown ups who have walked 'in a manner that restricts the chances of being chomped on by a TROLL!)

I call on old english folklore, fairytales and legends and mix them into stories from my imagination for a thrilling event that isn't easy to forget.

The Heights of Abraham

I have worked with The Heights to bring new and exciting creative events to their visitors for 5 years. This has included artistic programmes and storytelling events that enthral their audiences. Themed to specific yearly festivals and individually created for site specific venues, the presentations have been aimed at their visiting families and children. This has seen new fiction, adaptations and poems intertwined to create thrilling storytelling sessions. Tess of the Woods and Witch Willoughby are in residence here!

Crich Tramway Museum very kindly asked me to write a Storytelling Presentation for their new woodland walk. It was littered with beautiful wooden sculptures and so I created a collection of original fictions, poetry and adaptations of old folk tales. It is used for visiting school tours and also for public events. I have also been asked for a number of years to write and present a spooky Halloween presentation, which has been a very exciting and enjoyable challenge.

Derwent Mills- Cromford invited me to create a storytelling session to be used as part of their 'Night at The Museum' event. I wrote a site specific role play presentation complete with age specific quizzes. Marketing copy, posters and on-line press releases were created to promote the event.

Derbyshire Adult Education Department asked for a lively and interactive presentation on the theme of Christmas. It was intended that it would highlight a 'Family Christmas' with comedy and light heartedness. It certainly went down very well and the crowd were soon on their feet!

Lancaster City Museum What a series of exciting challenges! My first was to write a PowerPoint presentation for separate audiences on the theme of Lancaster- Ice Age to present day (to include the Slave Trade). Scripts for their Roman Housewife, Artisan, School Teacher and House keeper followed. As did presentations around the Witches of Demdike which travelled throughout museums in Lancashire and Preston.

Now lets see what we can create for you... get in touch and let's talk!
